If you’ve ever wanted to learn how to paint portrait paintings, you’ll want to follow this series. In this first lesson I will take you through all the basic concepts and techniques you’ll need to paint this painting from start to finish. First you’ll learn how to use the grid method to get an accurate sketch of your subject. From there we will layer methodically through to get a realistic figure, with draped clothing.
I’ll show you all the color mixtures and how easy it can be to achieve a nice skin tone. Learn how to make the hair shine, and also look soft.
