About this workshop: This painting workshop will be two days long in New Providence, RI. You will learn how to layer acrylic paints to create luminous, atmospheric paintings. We will create a color chart to help you limit your palette for more effective colors. We’ll go over creating atmospheric skies on a small canvas, and then move on to creating a larger piece from start to finish. You will learn how I create my masterful clouds, and airy landscapes, as well as creating effective color combinations for your future paintings. You will learn what it takes to create effective works of art in a loose style that can be easily understood. I will walk around a lot during the workshop to give each person one on one direction and help. Each person will also receive a signed print from me. One person will be the lucky winner of the painting I create during the workshop, the winner’s name will be drawn from a hat!
Cost: $235 if you bring your own canvas, $275 if you would prefer canvas to be supplied by me. Paint and brushes will be supplied by me, but I will take the brushes with me after the class. You can bring your own brushes if you prefer.
Supplies needed: Canvas if you paid $235. I will supply paint and brushes, but brushes will remain with me after the class. Water containers and spray bottles will also be supplied by me, but you can bring your own as well. You can also bring any other supplies you would like to bring.
