Welcome to your workshop lesson page. Here you’ll find the workshop videos for this years paintings. We will cover perspective and color usage on the first day, and on the second day we will continue with details, and work on a split complimentary style painting to help you with some color theory.

For the main painting you can bring in elements of your own to add if you’d like. If you want to find a barn, structure, or house that you would like to put into this painting feel free. If you want to add more types of trees, or other elements you can do that as well. The lesson will focus on how to create distance and perspective. I will show you the painting from start to finish, but how you detail it is up to you. You don’t have to add anything else, it’s just an option.

Colors needed for the workshop: Raw Umber, Burnt Sienna, Cerulean Blue, Ultramarine Blue, Yellow Ochre, Cadmium Yellow Medium, Zinc White, Titanium White, Cadmium Red Medium, Alizarin Crimson
