My latest painting takes my timeline tree series in a slightly different direction. I’m pushing the background into a more abstract setting. Rather than painted mountains I went for color blocks at the base to represent mountains in the distance, I also de-emphasized some of the details throughout the tree. A small step toward more abstraction but still showing the subject matter clearly.
