In this lesson I will take you step by step in painting a mysterious crow perched upon a post. Waiting to make his next move, he sits in front of a backdrop of misty clouds. This lesson will be sure to increase your skill in subtle tonal shifts of color.

I will show you how I transfer a sketch to canvas and then from there create a tonal washed painting. Then we will begin to add layer after layer creating this great painting. I’ve included a sketch that you can transfer, or you can test your skill and create the sketch on your own. Either way you will learn every step of the way in this crow painting.
