If you love painting the ocean, you’ll love painting this one! We take a simple palette and turn it into a beautiful breaking wave painting.

Learn how to create this acrylic painting from start to finish. I’ll start you out with just blocking in our composition with some basic colors. From there we will build up the foam, the crest and the shimmering highlight through the wave.

This painting lesson is a lot of fun, and will challenge you without being super hard. Learn directional brush strokes to make the wave look like it’s moving. Plus with a simple palette, color mixing won’t be hard to achieve.

Colors Used: Cobalt Teal (any teal will work), Pthalo Blue, Raw Umber, Turqouise, Titanium White

Canvas Size: 10 X 20 (any 2 to 1 ratio will work)

Brushes Used: Flat, Liner, Round, Small Filbert
