It’s time to get real! If you want to challenge yourself and paint more realistically this is a great lesson for you. Even if your strong suit isn’t drawing, I provide a drawing for you that you can print out and transfer to your canvas.
In this lesson I break it up into specific parts. For example, I tackle each portion of the bird at a time so you have really great stopping points throughout the lesson, part 1 is painting the head. Part 2 is painting the body, etc. The lesson is split into 6 parts.
This lesson is only three major colors (two other colors are used for the beak and feet). This helps simplify the palette making color mixing a lot easier. If you haven’t tried realism before, you’ll find having a limited color palette makes painting your subject much easier.
This lesson includes multiple references. You’ll have the original reference photo, a reference drawing and a transferable drawing. For DVD purchases you’ll have access to the online lesson where you’ll find the reference images.
