In this lesson I will show you how to paint “Clark’s Nutcracker” in acrylics. We start out with a basic drawing to get proportions accurate, and then layer in a limited palette of colors to create a subtle yet colorful painting.

A Clark’s Nutcracker is a bird located in the Western part of Canada and the United States. I first encountered one in Banff National Park.
