Come paint a friendly owl sitting upon a post amongst the bushes. In this lesson I’ll provide you with a sketch that you can print out and transfer to the canvas to make the drawing portion easy. You will also be provided a reference photo in case you’d like to try your hand at sketching the owl as well.

I will take you through each step in this painting, from the sketch transfer, to the initial layers, to light washes to create nice subtle hues in our layers.

This painting will be a lot of fun to learn. You’ll enjoy creating a realistic, yet painterly piece of art. There is something magical about owls, and you can capture that magic in this acrylic painting lesson.
