Join me in painting the surreal. I’ve been working on a new series called “Growing Hearts.” This series explore the human heart in various situations, all of the surreal nature. Explore your imagination and jump in and make this painting your own. I’ll show you how I create the painting “Tied” from the series. From start to finish I will take you through each brush stroke and show you how to achieve a realistic, yet surreal painting.  You can do this painting in either acrylic or oil.  I complete the lesson with acrylic in the lesson video.

This lesson is about 3 hours long and you’ll need the following supplies.

MDF Wood Panel or Canvas: 18 X 24
Acrylic Paint colors: Alizarin Crimson, Cadmium Red Med, Raw Umber, Burnt Sienna, Yellow Ochre, Titanium White, Zinc White, Cobalt Blue, Ultramarine Blue, Bone Black
Brushes: Medium Flat Brush, Liner Brush, Small Round, Medium Pointed Round
